Welcome to the website of the Central Texas Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. We are located in Austin, Texas. The chapter membership is comprised of a diverse group of individuals supporting the central Texas concrete industry including concrete producers, engineers, technicians, concrete material suppliers, university professors, students, and contractors.

Meeting At The County Line BBQ on the Lake, Austin, TX (See Map Below ) When: 11:30 AM-1:00 PM Topic: “A Case Study and Investigation of Joint Spalling at Offutt AFB, NE” Speaker: Toy Poole Toy Poole holds a BS from University North Carolina in chemistry, a MS from Clemson niversity
in biology, and a PhD from Indiana University also in biology. He worked for US Army Corps of Engineers in the concrete laboratory at the Engineer R&D Center (formerly Waterways Experiment Station), Vicksburg, MS. There, his primary focus was on problems with the early hydration of cementitious materials and durability to chemical reactions. His recent work has focused particularly on alkali-aggregate reaction. Toy retired from USAC in 2010 and currently works for CTL Group, Austin, TX. This month we will be meeting at The County Line BBQ on RM 2222, their “Lake” location. Current dues paying members will eat lunch for free. All others pay $15.00. Memberships are $20.00 annually for individuals or $5 for students. See you there!
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Chapter meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, except during July and August. Meetings are held at 11:30 a.m.
Cost for the lunch is $15.00 - If you are a current dues paying member lunch is FREE for 2012 meetings. Join the chapter as an indivudual member at the meeting for $20.00 and eat lunch at the meetings FREE. Obtain a membership form by following the membership link above.
